Tennis, anyone?

Pretty big fan of this star-studded video, featuring Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, Lil' Jon, and some other person I don't really know. Plus the song is great! Gotta love Vampire Weekend!

Kids Are Silly

I helped Miss Renee put together the graduation books at work today (I work at a daycare:). They amused me a lot. I thought I'd share some of the pictures that made me smile!

Oscar's. He is a tad bit spacey...all of the time. I like the whole "everyone is trying to get the shiny thing." Nice touch!

Oscar's future occupation: "Man Walking Down the Steps With Parrot." Wonder if that pays well:)

Erika's. Her mother is currently pregnant with another girl. Can't you tell?

Ethan's buddies. Notice they are all carrying guns. What are those vehicles on either side? Ambulances. Yup. So THIS is what we teach the kids!
Brenna's mom and sister both have very curly hair. I just thought this was sweet!

Basically I love these kids so much! I poked a little bit of fun here at the pictures, but truth be told, I have so many pictures from them because I simply can't throw them away! And graduation? I think I will definitely cry at this ceremony! I've known most of these kids since they were two, maybe three. This is just insane! AHHHH!!!

Oh, and speaking of kids, anybody else see this video? I have nothing against MGMT as a band, but this video is rather twisted...John Watson himself may have been the director.

On the bright side, this video does contain Joanna Newsom. She seems like a terrible mother to me...no offense. Oh, and please don't hold one part of the cartoon against me! I'm not really endorsing this, I just wanted your opinions on it!

Photobooth Love

So I may or may not have skipped history to play with photobooth. Backdrop and everything. It's pretty legit!
Oh, and the "backdrop" is my drop clothe for painting. My friends and I decided once to make a sheet fort and decorate the sheets with sayings and lyrics. It has Office quotes plus pretty old lyrics from random bands like Jack's Mannequin, Showbread, Switchfoot, mewithoutYou, Anberlin, Sherwood, the Wedding, the Classic Crime, Emery, and so on and so forth...I was rather hardcore in high school!

Pen Pals? Umm...yes please!

So one of my favorite bloggers, Katie, is matching up pen pals on her blog Skunkboy Creatures! Pretty excited about it!

And I thought I should inform you of one other amazing thing. They make cupcake holders! My friend/coworker, Renee, bought me one in Branson!
Spiffy, huh? Now I just need to find the perfect cupcake to hold! :)

Goodnight my friends! I hope this beautiful Tuesday turns into a splendid Wednesday!

Running through my mind...

so I want a harp...desperately.

McCall's found on flickr

This girl is amazing! Tell me this is not a beautiful instrument (and some may need to try to listen past the voice. If you ignore this simply because of it, you'll miss out on something wonderful!)

This is very random

Sometimes the best remedy for a three hour class is a grande frappachino...other times, it's not. Let me show you the cycle of a cup of coffee to help you decide.

!) The beginning sip...mmm!
(why yes, there IS a bump-it in my hair:)

@) The I'm-drinking-coffee-therefore-I'm-an-intellectual stage

#) The sudden feeling stage

$) The hyperactivity stage (best not to unleash in formal settings)

%) The woozy what-just-happened stage

and finally...

^) The crash.

Here's my favorite remedy...rather intricate doodles. I think this one took me about an hour!
Anyway, this was a post to help me procrastinate more. Maybe it helped you as well! Have a great night!

Probably one of the coolest things I've ever been given

So I am a tea lover...for sure! And I have this thing for teapots...especially bright yellow ones. Here is the one I REALLY wanted from Teavana!

Pretty, right? Well the only thing is that these sets can cost money! The above set is $100! Anyway, today I went to Bible study and waited in the kitchen with two ladies while Bryce and his dad moved a dryer. I couldn't help but notice the whole time, the women, Ang and Tina, kept rinsing and re-rinsing the most perfect yellow teapot (with the exception of this rather odd wooden handle). Then, after going to great lengths to wash it, they began to discuss how they could replace the handle with beads. One of them turned to me and said, "What do you think?"
"I think it would be really cute!" I said, still admiring it.
"Good!" Said Ang. "Because it's for you!"
I really couldn't believe it. I had just been telling Bryce earlier today how much I wanted one!
Well, Bryce is very good at reading me. The week before, he spotted it in their garage and told his dad that I would die for it. He even considered buying it off of them. But Bryce's dad told them this week how much I would love it, and it would be a neat birthday gift. They decided that tonight was close enough!
Anyway, Tina and I (mainly Tina. She has done beading for quite some time) picked out some beads for the handle
aaannnnnnnddddddddddddd........

Ta-da! How cool is that? Tina actually made all of the colorful beads herself!
I really love it! It has sort of an Alice in Wonderland feel to it! Plus, it is so meaningful in so many ways! It's truly amazing!

Soooooo....there's that! It's my awesome story! I know there's a lot of reading, so I apologize! I was just so excited:)
Oh, and who needs the Teavana tea set anyhow? I have the coolest teapot in the world!

Things I love

Happy April! Yeah, so it's a little late, but what can you do, eh? Anyway, time for some blog love! Yay!

!) Dresses!

I have this thing where I don't really like my legs, so I'm learning how to love them this year! It may be easier in these dresses!
Today's dress!

@) She & Him...and Zooey Deschannel for that matter.

If you know me, you know I wish I could be her! I just got Volume II today! I never knew "adorable" would be an appropriate word to describe an album, but in this case, it works!
#) Pretending I can paint.

I finished this painting today of my dear and I! His grandparent's land gets covered in bluebells each year! It's rather gorgeous! We're both pretty big fans, so I thought it was a good background! And yeah, it is supposed to look kind of cartoon-ish!

$) Trader Joe's and Meatless Meat!

If you have never been to Trader Joe's, GO!!! It's full of healthy (and yummy!) food! Plus they have tons of fair labor/organic/vegetarian/you-name-it food! Pretty much everything I love! And I know that the whole "veggie meat" sounds kind of gross, but it is actually rather great!

I'm really digging these corndogs!

%) Indecisive fingernail polish

I've gone from teal to purple to mint in a week! But I'm not complaining!
and finnnnaaaallllyyyyyyyyy...........
^) SPRING!!!!!!!

Seriously, how can you not love it? And it may seem lame to have one of myself, but it's because I also wanted to display Clair Staples' awesomeness! :) I'm stealing these to make over my blog!

So...does this all make up for the procrastination? I sure hope so:)
