And just in case you haven't...

...you should check out Arcade Fire's video for "We Used To Wait." Seriously unbelievable.

If you don't, my heart may break. For real. Go. Now.

Yeah, so I love Yo Gabba Gabba

This video from Yo Gabba Gabba is insanely cute, especially the illustration.

And yes, sometimes I do watch children's shows. And maybe I do have Yo Gabba Gabba on DVD.
It's called a "nanny allowance." Duh...

Enjoy!
I'm going to go practice growing up now.
Nah...

Look Up!

So I changed my header today, mainly because I felt a little odd seeing myself that much every time I blogged (even though the photographer was great:).
So, thoughts? I'd love to hear your opinions:)

Music Monday::Arcade Fire

Eek! I have been a terrible blogger, but this will *hopefully* change! I have my computer back (finally), so it's not as inconvenient!
Anyway, let's get reacquainted with another Music Monday (12:46 AM still counts as Monday:)

I started liking Arcade Fire AFTER Arcade Fire became cool. Do you know why Arcade Fire became cool? Maybe this will refresh your memory:

Yup. They're the ones who made us all want to run in a wolf's outfit with a bunch of monsters. They also used this song for the Superbowl and dedicated all the proceeds to Haiti...pretty cool.

Anyway, I liked the song, but never gave the rest of their stuff a listen. But I had the worst ache to buy a CD the other week at Vintage Vinyl (yeah, I'm terrible), and I had heard that their newest CD, The Suburbs, was amazing, so I decided to give it a shot.

First of all, the packaging was amazing. It was shiny and had this great new CD smell...you know the one? And it had the look of a record, just shrunk down a ton.

And then I listened to their music and fell in love with their wonderful, mostly upbeat sound.

And then I wiki-ed them and found out it's fronted by a husband and wife, which usually makes things cooler, at least in my opinion.

So I fell hard for the band in their entirety. Have you? If not, it's time.

Music Monday: Regina Spektor

I have been in such a Regina Spektor mood lately. Ah! She's great! I love how light she can keep many of her melodies but how her lyrics are always well-written, clever and absolutely wonderful. And her voice? It's so warm and beautiful! Enjoy:)

So after a series of confusions, I have the week off! And how wonderful, considering it is my last week of Summer! So I'm spending it catching up with friends, crafting (less than two weeks until market day! yikes!), and relaxing. But on top of this, I'm challenging myself.
So here it is. I realize that I tend to get a little bit too wrapped up in how I look (ladies, don't we all?), and I decided to try to break away from this. So for the week, I'm only wearing my clothes (I borrow too much from my sister and my mom), and avoiding heating irons (except for my bangs...I think this is rather understandable:). As most of you know, this last one is pretty major for me. My hair is either always curled or straightened, and boy does it show it! So I'm spending this week letting it breathe and just being content with what I have...especially my skirt and dress collection:) Take that world! Whew!

Oh dear. This is word-heavy! I guess I will put up a picture:)

So does anyone else think porcupines are adorable? I know it's a bit odd, but they are so quirky and cute!

P.s. All these images were snagged from the ever-wonderful weheartit.com.

For the Hardcore Crafters...

So we have all seen our fair share of impressive graffiti, but lately there is a new form of it called "yarnbombing," and it may be one of the prettiest things to ever grace a lamp post. Basically, people will knit a custom-sized piece and sew it on to some drab part of the urban landscape. I think it is about time I dusted off those needles. Anyone with me?
