Change of Plans

So I think I want to do away Thursday tracks. I don't really like the ring of it. I will move that to Mondays and will appropriately call it "Music Monday." But in the meantime, I really love it when artists appear on children's shows. Perhaps it is just that daycare teacher in me coming out, I don't know, but they tend to make me smile!

The Red Balloon

So today, I was flipping through the random movies on Netflix when i came across the 1956 French film, The Red Balloon. I had seen the French short film before in an eighth grade class, but decided to watch it again for kicks. The movie is so beautiful. I love the red of the balloon against the gloomy, French landscape/ And the end is simply lovely. It is such a great film, full of innocence and beauty. Major love.

Thursday Tracks:::Andrew Bird

One of my favorite bloggers, Katie, does a weekly feature called Music Monday. I decided to start my own version called "Thursday Tracks!" So let me know what you think:)

So most of you probably know of my love for Andrew Bird. I first heard this man after my high school graduation rehersal when my friend played a song by him while I was in his car (after a vicious search for Fresca...obviously). He introduced him by saying "This guy is an amazing whistler!" And he really is. But Andrew Bird's talent goes beyond whistling. He is an incredible lyricist, musician, singer, you name it.

But apparently, me talking about him will just bore people, so you listen for yourself:)
